Hopefully the last step... Almost got everything back after the hack

"You are now the finance editor"

I will make a full video of what happened, how to avoid this happening to you and how we recovered once everything is 100% working correctly. There is a new bug on my mobile business app that won't let me post videos when connected to Instagram. Either its Instagram or Meta Business Suite. Going to clear cookies and reboot the phone and hopefully everything will be back.

WE ARE BACK AFTER THE HACK

This blog and Facebook page has always been owned and operated by Jared Mysko its not a secret. This is the second attempted take over in 2 months. We have hit over 35k followers with over 6 million views in just the last month. Stats will be posted on the blog as well as more. We will have to use the blog more often. Thanks for sticking with "us" meaning you and me and the fish and the birds, we all work together to figure out this crazy prairie weather!

Update: The stats page has been buggy for the past week and crashed upon trying to access it. Still have to hear back from META support on the main things of the matter. I'm taking a World Record Number Of Screenshots today. Maybe a timelapse? lol jk

Update #2: The stats from the pro dashboard worked:

SIGNIFICANT FREEZING RAIN EVENT on SUNDAY

The latest NAM Nest high resolution model is showing a potentially significant freezing rain event to hit the areas from Assiniboia to Regina and Moose Jaw, and then slicing northwest towards Foam Lake and Canora north of Yorkton on Sunday, the Full Moon, December 15th, 2024.

Latest Snowfall Models / Facebook Update

Latest update to the snowfall potential on Sunday or maybe later in the week. Freezing rain has a better chance of hitting Regina. Snow is pushing east as of these new models but the hrrr was hinting at a direct path over the city so it is still highly variable.

Note: META has started a case investigation and our access should be fully restored soon. This has been a great learning experience, hope it all turns out and we are skating and posting by Sunday or Monday. The plan is to secure all documents and backup files here while waiting for META support to resolve the issue.

New NAM is in, FB is Hacked so here we are... Snowfall Potential Up to Monday evening

Running out of words to say, here is the latest update on potential snowfall, valid up to Monday evening. Regina on the edge with 7cm possible. Hopefully we can at least go skating. Not going to make another Facebook page until we get the hacker off my account.

WE HAVE BEEN HACKED.

December 13th, 2024
Someone has HACKED Canadian Prairie Storms on Facebook, I have no access now. I created this page many years ago and had an ad agency (one in September and one more this past week) ask me to click on their links. I was suspicious but let it go on until last night when I saw the email that I was removed from my own admin. I have screenshots with proof of how they did it because this is the second time it happened. I will post everything on the blog and wait for a reply from Facebook. If you know how to contact Facebook or META teams please let them know or show me how. If my post went against any rules, I will delete. This all happened right after the last post I made last night at 5:16pm.
The emails I received from META last night:
"Hi Jared,
An admin has made updates to your Payment Account: Jared Mysko. You can view and make changes to the Account from the Payments Setting page.
If you can no longer see this page or if you think a mistake has been made, please let us know using our contact form.
Thanks,
The Facebook Payments Team"
"Hi Jared,
You've been removed as an admin from Jared Mysko.
If you think a mistake has been made, please let us know using our contact form.
Thanks,
The Facebook Payments Team"
Please restore my access and admin role and remove and arrest the perps. Thanks

Big Wind Storm This Weekend

October 3rd, 2024 (forecast model data as of this morning)
Wind Gust Animation - NAM Nest Forecast Model
Its gonna get WINDY. Starting off along the Alberta foothills, we have a strong wind that develops near Lethbridge and flies into Montana before pushing east into southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Friday night through Saturday and Sunday morning the big winds will cross from Alberta to Montana into southern Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba. Up to 70 knots is possible in central Montana, up to 60 knots in southern Manitoba and 50 knots in southern Saskatchewan over the weekend. Should be relatively light winds Thursday and Friday morning unless this forecast changes drastically again.
Note: We had a 6 degree forecast temperature drop from 25C to19C in Regina, trying to figure out what the real weather will be for Friday. Something is off and the Solar Flare of X9 is the prime suspect.

Low Risk Produces Multiple Tornadoes In Saskatchewan

We were in the grey risk zone for light thundershower possibilities at most, forecast models originally showed Wednesday as a non-event day. What actually happened was a line a rain over Regina kicked off strong convection from Moose Jaw to Bethune for only a few radar updates. It looks like that tiny line of storm cells was able to produce multiple weak tornado funnels that were able to disturb the ground. Still waiting, early this morning to hear some kind of official confirmation but from the video there seems to be no doubt at least one tornado will be confirmed that was near Bethune, the other one was allegedly north of Moose Jaw, not far off from Bethune.

If you are new to the blog, please be sure to follow Canadian Prairie Storms on Facebook for regular updates and @StormRangerBike on X-twitter for "on location" live storm and wildlife tracking.

Summary of Incredible Images from the Tornado Outbreak of April 26, 2024 in Nebraska and Iowa

Multiple storm chasers caught extremely incredible tornado footage that day. To see more, feel free to use our newly updated list of live storm chaser YouTube channels and browse, like and subscribe.

Current Snow Cover and Wildfire Maps

Spring is starting off a little slower this year, good thing to see the snow is now far away and wildfire smoke is minimal. Tornadoes have kept well south for the most part of the usual Tornado Alley in the states in April, that could change in a hurry but first there needs to be fog and lot more rain on the now very dry Canadian Prairies.

Check our Weather Data Links page to see this and much more. The LIVE storm chasing page has also been updated and we will continue to add more YouTube channels as they become active.
