Tuesday Turning To Wednesday?

Today's Thunderstorm Outlook from PASPC has downgraded the risk and models suggest things are being delayed until Wednesday. Central Saskatchewan will be the focus this evening with a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms. On Wednesday the storms ramp up significantly according to the latest NAM Nest. Border areas of western and southeastern Saskatchewan could see some top level action but keep in mind these models have been changing drastically run to run. Things WILL CHANGE, stay safe by keeping up to date with the latest here and by watching the skies, radar and official alerts.

Thunderstorm Outlook with Risk of Tornadoes in Alberta

It was very foggy this morning in Regina, models show that as it clears up the thunderstorms also clear right out. Absolutely zero rain or anything close to a thunderstorm on both hrrr and NAM Nest forecast models across the eastern prairies this evening. Tuesday looks like our day. Tornadic storms from Alberta this afternoon and evening should arrive in southern Saskatchewan by Tuesday afternoon/evening according to the NAM Nest.

Sunday, August 17th, 2025 Moderate Risk for Saskatoon Regina and Yorkton #skstorm

Here is today's thunderstorm outlook plus current radar with lightning overlay which shows how active the weather is already as of 9am this morning. Forecast models suggest a strong storm popping up either at 3 to 4pm or 6 to 7pm depending on the model. Both showing the storm starting off in the Regina city area, one more spread out and dumping more rain than the other. Timing will be key today. There might be a very short window to film a storm today at Wascana Lake, should be a fun day!
